Project Trailer:

Sacred Geometry was a project produced for a final year university module at Teesside University, the module was worth sixty credits.

One of the project goals was to create an environment scene using Darksiders 2 and World of Warcraft Legion concept art and screenshots as reference. The scene was to be designed from the ground up by myself, and references were used to inform the design.

The other goal was to learn a variety of other techniques during the process so that I could understand and choose between different workflows or pipelines. I researched a variety of new programs, although not all were implemented into the end product, the goal was that I sent a single asset through the different program workflows to understand the process and look at the results it can give.

The scene was created to act as a level selection hub if placed in a game, similar to how the PlayStation one Crash Bandicoot 2 & 3 games functioned during level selection.

This environment consists of assets created in 3DS Max, textures and normal maps created in Photoshop, implementation and scene creation in Unreal Engine, along with particle effects created in Unreal Engine's Cascade, along with other smaller things such as Unreal Engine's matinee panel for applying simple animation.
